Iron City Rods and Customs is owned and founded by Anthony J. Santercangelo. Born and raised from Pittsburgh,PA and coming from a large family owned automotive collision shop. He has always been around building and fixing cars is whole life since an early age. Ever since a young kid, Hotrods has been a big part of his life for him and his family. Designing, building and fixing classic cars became a huge passion and dream to do in life not only as a hobby but as a career.
Before Iron City Rods and Customs, Anthony was an accomplished Graduate from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh specializing in Industrial Design and Mechanical Design Engineering. Soon after graduating college Anthony became an designer and engineer for numerous of companies. While being a designer as a full time job and still building and restoring custom cars on the side. The business and reputation of building and restoring cars started to grow rapidly. So in 2013 Iron City Rods and Customs became a full time business and has been growing bigger and bigger ever since.
As the business started to grow as a full time business and now starting to receive work from all over the country. Anthony has had opportunities to relocate the business out of the city of Pittsburgh. With that decision and while keeping that opportnity as an option, he decided to keep the business located in Pittsburgh, PA. In desire to bring attention back to the city of Pittsburgh in which where the name Iron City Rods and Customs came from due to Pittsburghs well know iron and steel manufacturing history and personal love for the city.
